Red Rattan for Red Friday

This RED Rattan loveseat was sooo great. There was a matching chair, but I didn't get a picture of it. Of course it was sold! Couldn't resist posting this picture for Red Friday. If you love RED, join in the fun. My buddy Tricia from The RED Door Antiques is the smart creator of Red Friday. Red is my favorite color---like I said before---I even married a redhead!

Have a happy Red Friday,
Until next time,
Pam

Great Show in Hermann---despite the storms!

We just returned from Hermann, Missouri--a short and nice trip compared to the travel to Texas. Only about 1 1/2 hours from home! The show was beautiful, lots of great dealers with antiques to die for. Our booth was small, so we took lots of smalls. The show was held at the Hermanhof Winery so it had a setting all of its own. The weather was not in our favor--I'm talking storms, but the die-hard antiquers that came were there to buy. I don't have alot of pictures of the booth, but you'll get the idea.

Gary bought this old church picnic game right in Hermann. It sold! Very primitive--you can't see the nails, but the hand forged arrow would twirl and stop on a nail that would have had prizes on it. I think he really wanted to keep it. But selling it within a day is sweeeeet!

Pincushions! Lots of the ladies loved the sewing stuff!

The cute little child's chairs were also a purchase Gary made the day before setup and sold the first day! He thinks he's really smart!
I have alot of pictures of other dealers booths. Lots of interesting smalls, and also alot of pictures of homes and buildings throughout the city of Hermann. I'll do them in another post. We leave for Sycamore Illinois on Wednesday so I've got alot to do.
Better crack on!
Until next time,
Pam

RED Door was Next Door at Marburger Farm!

Well, I think I have more pictures of my neighbors booth than of my own! Maybe because I thought it was without a doubt the best display of the Farm! That would be Tricia of The Red Door Antiques. One picture after the other---it was colorful and beautiful. What I should have done is taken Before and After pictures to show you what all was gone! I hope you enjoy the show!
Just the beginning of the booth--ther's lots more!
Only Tricia could hang this display!

Very needful things! As Tricia says.....

Some great displays of sewing trim.

A repeat picture!
Most don't want to bother with a heavy sink--but it made the display!

Pink trim for your projects!

Awesome fragrant soap--I sell these too, but didn't take them to the show.

Colorful McCoy pottery.

fabulous signs with retro kitchenette set. I know it sold!

She's so creative with her displays.

Fab awning--SOLD!

A chicken coop to die for!

Ironstone

Cement pillows--but only soft!

A long shot!
It's tough to be next door to someone this creative--to make it even more tough, she has a booth at The Red Barn and it looks just as great! Hats off to you Tricia--you deserved a more than fab show!
Better go for now,
We leave for Hermann MO tomorrow, I'll post again soon!
I still have some last minute stuff to do, so I'd better crack on!
Until next time,
Pam

Midwest Antiques Show in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

The trip to Iowa has become one of my favorites. I think it's because we always head south and Heading north is new territory! The show promoters of the Midwest Antiques Show and Collector's Eye Show in Cedar Rapids are some of the nicest! We had a good show, sold some great country pieces. Is that Watermelon sign awesome or what--and yes, it SOLD!
This framed reverse painted glass is from an old drugstore in Collinsville Illinois. Nice red.
The mohair horse pull toy was incredible. The loop you see is the hee-hee that still works when pulled. I said "was" incredible because it sold too!

Just a collection of old piano rolls. Someday, someone is going to need these--perhaps to paper a wall! I love the green bench we used on top of a green table for display.

Here is a better picture of the tractor grill. We bought it in Texas, but it SOLD in Iowa! Go figure!

More small treasures.

I love this old store counter. Green and a creamy yellow/white. It won't last long!

Other necessities on top of an old primitive potting table.

We only had a 20' booth so space was limited. It turned out nice with lots of stuff!

We head to Hermann, Missouri on Thursday to set up for the Hermann Antique Show. Hermann is a great old town and I'm looking forward to it.
Better get crackin!
Until next time,
Pam

Over 3,000 Miles --Now Home for a Bit

Well, I haven't fallen off of the face of the earth, we have traveled it! We went to Texas and set up at Marburger Farm. We got home last Tuesday night, unloaded and reloaded the truck on Wednesday and left Thursday for the Midwest Antique Show in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Lots of miles, lots of sales, and lots of fun. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. A little windy one day coming home from Texas, but overall--perfect springtime weather. I have a ton of pictures to share --starting with our booth at Marburger. It was colorful and playful.
I love the old bike! the windmill section and windows to die for!
An easter display on top of a crocheted apron. Great bunny chocolate molds.

I thought I'd take some spring hats. Sold several of them.

Doll heads are gone to new homes. Vintage cameras were also sold.

Mixtures of wood.

Kitchy!

White potting cabinet and old refrigerator. Check out the scooter on the wall!
We sold alot, and met some great new customers. We are already looking forward to the fall show. I'll post more soon. We leave next week for Hermann, Missouri so I'd better get crackin!
Until next time,
Pam
