Vintage Christmas--Love It!

I love the cover of this old book.  It would be great framed...its nice and flat because pages are missing!

This tinsel is reproduction but looks really great like the old tinsel.  Perfect for craft projects,

The white tree is only about two feet tall.  Perfect for a table top.  Probably from the 60's. Then of course the vintage paper mache boot---they are getting harder to find.

Love the little bone china figurines.  Only about two inches tall.

Happy holiday shopping!

Happy Holidays to All of You!

Well as you know, it's been forever since I posted.  I find that when I have trouble loading pictures--or anything else for that matter, I just give up.  I think a New Year's resolution for me will be--don't give up, or at least try not to give up.  I used to have so much fun posting pictures and blogging but ran into trouble and gave up!  We have had many wonderful antiques come and go from the shop this year, and I promise I will try to post more!  Also follow us on Instagram and my new upcoming project--an Etsy store!
Have a safe and happy holiday.  Come see us and....

Just a Little Window Redo!

Well just in time for fall, we have picked up some amazing country pieces.  Funny how all of the colors are perfect together.  I love the colors of fall--deep reds, oranges, golden yellows and toss in some brown.  The pieces shown in the pictures are not redo's or makeovers.  The colors are original to the early pieces...just the way we love it. Enjoy...

See--I told you it was great!

The Riverbend Growth Association held a ribbon cutting ceremony to help us celebrate 30 years in business.  I invite you to go to (click on video) to see the video of the ceremony and continue watching as we stroll through the shop.  I think you'll love it.  We do!

Constantly Changing

I promised some pictures of the shop--the redo and look of fresh paint and carpet after the fire.  We are constantly changing displays but here is how some of it looked yesterday!  Over 5,000 square feet of needful things!  Take a look.....

This gives you an idea of our shop.  I have more pictures, I'll add later.  Check

A Bittersweet Memory of Mother's Day

It was a year ago that we were called to the shop in the early morning of Mother's Day.  Someone had broken in, robbed us and then set fire.  I hope you never get a call like that.  I'm posting some pictures of the inside of the shop to give you an idea of what smoldering smoke will do.  We are still cleaning up items----it's been overwhelming.  But we're down to 93 uhaul boxes!  We were closed all last summer and reopened October 3rd.  It's so great to be back--but the anger is still there.  Yes, it's time to move on---but until we are done spending our time cleaning up stuff instead of being creative, I can't seem to move on.  On the upside---the shop now looks fantastic, and business is good.  I'll show pictures of the "redo" in another post.
Come see us this summer---we are ready for you!!
