This inkwell --complete with it's lid is gorgeous. The pen is from the same estate but was found in separate drawers. It looks like the style that would go with the inkwell, so I am putting them together! The pen has a carved mother of pearl handle, the ink bottle is heavy glass--maybe lead glass?, and the base is carved and painted. It's heavy, and looks like brass. It is terrific. Can you imagine learning to write with this!
I love these old notebooks. They are from the 1930's and will display beatifully with the inkwell.
What a treasure--and keep checking--there's lots more treasures coming!
